Orders
Not all of our varieties are available at the same time.  Some birds have different breeding seasons than
others.  On
Our Birds' page and Pricelist page there are indicators to let you know if the variety you are
looking for is currently available.  When we have different types available at the same time you can take
advantage of this by mixing a few varieties in one order.  Our birds are blood-tested and certified for
inter-state shipment.  Chicks being shipped outside of the Northeast will be shipped Express mail.  
Northeast customers have the option of Express or Priority.  Each variety has a minimum amount for
shipping, listed on their individual page.  This ensures safety for the chicks' fast arrival.  All orders are
insured.

Adult birds are generally shipped in the fall.  They are shipped when weather cools down and have
grown during the summer months.  Some birds are shipped as adults on a regular basis, such as quail
and chickens.  When placing an order we will give you an estimated shipping time.  This is estimated
because weather and other unforeseen occurrences can happen.  We will notify you in advance when
your order is ready to be shipped.  All adults are shipped Express/ Insured.

Eggs are handled with care and stored daily.  Eggs are stored in 60 degrees Fahrenheit.  They are
turned daily to promote egg fertility.  Eggs are shipped in double-boxes to prevent breaking during
shipment and to insulate them to keep them cool.  Eggs CANNOT be 'upside down' so don't worry if they
are facing different ways in the package, they are packed for optimal storage and shipping.  Eggs are not
shipped over 5 days old.  Once they arrive, set them indoors at room temperature for 12-24 hours so that
they may regulate an internal temperature before setting them in an incubator.

ARTWORK AND CUSTOM MERCHANDISE
Shady Hollow offers one-of-a-kind artwork and merchandise.  We produce customized digital prints and
pencil/ink art.  We also sell customized T-shirts and other merchandise.  For more information, see the
Custom Merchandise page or the
Artwork Page.  Once a custom order has been completed the customer
will be sent a photo of the order.  This is for satisfaction and recognition.  If the customer approves the
order it will be sent and is non-refundable.  If the order is denied by the customer it will be sold to the
general public.  Please e-mail us with your custom order that we may specialise it and suit it to your
needs.  Inquire for special orders that you don't see under the Custom Merchandise.

Sales are listed on our main page.  When placing an order you must mention the sale.  If you do not ask
for the sale discount they are not automatically given.  Sales are specifically for website customers.  Be
sure to mention the sale in your message or phone call to receive the discounts.  Sales change for the
season and there are always new special sales.  All prices are current .  Prices subject to change.

Shady Hollow Gamebirds' Disclaimer is as follows unless otherwise specified:  Once birds and/or eggs
leave our possession they are no longer under our control.  Birds are shipped and delivered with the
utmost care.  Attention is paid to the birds or eggs specifically for each type to prevent any losses.  In most
cases, when ordering eggs there will be extras.  Due to shipping we will usually include a few extra-
granted we have an ample supply.  No bird deemed unfit or unhealthy will be sold.  With a good set-up
upon arrival chicks should be vigorous and energetic.  Only losses Insured Shipping will be refunded.  We
must have verification from postal services to issue a refund so be sure to file the form when your birds
arrive for any lost in transit.  If prepaid orders cannot be filled we will substitute the order as close to the
original as possible.  We do not issue refunds under regular circumstances.  By placing an order all
customers agree to this disclaimer.
