UNIQUE AVICULTURAL OPPORTUNITY for motivated, responsible individual or family.
If you enjoy working from home, working with poultry and trying new things: this may be
the opportunity you have been looking for. Shady Hollow Farm of Morrill, ME is starting
a test-phase quail co-op. Multiple farms will be organized into a regional group, focusing
on the production of Coturnix quail and their eggs. This co-op will be entirely managed
by Shady Hollow Farm in the beginning stages; providing all information, resources,
feed, equipment, birds and procedures. Each farm will be a test-producer of a specific
Coturnix quail market including: meat, edible eggs and hatching eggs. The individual
farms are responsible for raising the chicks provided to them according to the directed
regiment. Feed rations, feeders, brooders, breeder cages and equipment will all be
provided by Shady Hollow Farm at wholesale cost to the individual farms. Up to 300
chicks will be provided at no cost to each farm annually for the 2-year test phase.
Applicants must have a secondary applicant (designated farm hand) who is willing and
able to assume the role of primary in their absence.
Apply now, opportunities are strictly limited. Only a few more farms will be added to this
experimental co-op. We are most specifically looking for farms to raise birds for egg and
meat markets. All applicants will be contacted upon review of their application.
